Asha is Louisa’s best friend. They met as teenagers at school, and have been close ever since.

Asha was born in Watford to a father of East African origin, who fled to the UK in the seventies to escape the hideous regime of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin. Once in England, Joseph met and married Farah, a woman of Egyptian descent. Asha is their only child.

Joseph and Farah started an importing business, which did well. Keen to provide a good education for their daughter, they enrolled Asha in boarding school, where she and Louisa met and quickly struck up an enduring friendship. They both went on to Bristol University, Asha reading law.

On graduating, Asha decided to pursue Human Resources as a career, and secured employment in London with a global HR company whilst studying for her exams. Louisa was also working in London, so she and Louisa rented a bedsit in south London together. They soon teamed up with three others to share a house in Shepherd’s Bush.

Asha’s career has gone well, and following an introduction from Louisa, joined her friend at the same pharmaceutical company as HR Director.

Asha is married to Samuel, a head teacher. They live in Staines, to the west of London. They have no children but share a passion for amateur theatre.
